Tip of the Month: Quality Content = Avoid Spam Filters

When designing your next email marketing campaign, it is tempting to use plenty of great looking images to illustrate your products and services. However image heavy email campaigns can have negative implications.

Have a look at your email inbox, find the last spam email you received. Spammers, for quickness tend to use just images in their email spam  – why? its quick and easy, one image no coding.

When you are designing your next email campaign, try to imagine what the spammer would do  – then do the opposite! Like your website, content is king. Ensure your email campaign contains lots of unique text, and is not simply flooded with images. Content rich text will help your email pass though spam filters and lead to an increased open rate.
