My thoughts on GDPR

Published on

When I first heard about the new GDPR laws, I guess like most of us, I assumed it was yet another EU law, designed to make our lives difficult.

Now it’s nearly upon us, it’s already starting to have an effect on the amount of spam that hits my inbox. It’s definitely got the spammers running scared (and rightly so, the fines are huge). So surely this has got to be a good thing, spam is a real blight and a pain in the backside.

Email marketing is a great way for companies to keep in contact with their customers and opted in subscribers. For years spammer have highjacked this method and have tarnished it’s reputation as an effective marketing channel.

I think it’ll be an interesting year! ??
