Social media and email marketing work really well together, one compliments the other very neatly.

When you send out your email marketing, it’s a good idea to also post it to your social media networks. Doing this really helps to increase the reach of your email marketing.

When you do post it to social media, you can support the message of your email marketing by writing a short post or tweet about it.

Writing this supporting information is a great way to add a call to action for your social media viewers - you can add a reason why they may want to click on the link to view your email marketing.

The problem…



After you have sent your email marketing, you then need to copy a link to a web based version of your email. Then, go to each of your social media pages, write your post, paste your link to you email marketing and hit ‘post’. You then need to repeat this process for each of your social media accounts.

Some decent email marketing systems will let you post to your social media platforms from inside their software. This is great, as it means you don’t have to keep hopping from different sites to spread your message.

This can be a little bit of a compromise though, as often your social media platforms will pick at random and image from your mailer to be used. So you have little control over what actually get’s posted.
